The Ultimate Top 10 Lose Weight Tips pt1
Congratulations on your decision to lose weight. Nearly everyone of us go through it at some point in our lives.
But, with a myriad of different diets, pills, potions, advice and crack pot ideas, how do you go about finding the correct system to allow you to lose weight without going cuckoo?
Here are the top 10 tips that have worked for me when trying to lose weight:
- Decide on how much weight you would like to lose. Take a look in the mirror and decide what kind of shape are you in now and how you want to end up looking like? Analyse your current eating habits, and write them down. Once you have an idea where you are starting from, you will get a better idea of what you need to do to lose weight. If you dont exercise at all, start off gentle, maybe a brisk walk around the park. We don’t want to over do it at first.
- You need to crawl before you walk… Take it slow. Start out by making small changes to your daily routine. Instead of full fat milk, skimmed milk or soy milk, whole wheat bread, veggie burgers, a different healther cereal – like All Bran, a new kind of exotic fruit that you’ve never heard of before. When you begin to eat and treat your body better, you will be more inclined to make other more drastic changes.
- Hydration! Water is crucial to our body. It helps flush your system of toxins and helps make you feel full. Drink a glass of water before a meal to help suppress your appetite. If “plain” water is too boring for you, try putting some lemon slices or other fruit into it to spice it up a little. Stay clear of fizzy sodas!!!
- Keep a check on those calories… But don’t be obsessive, a rough guide will do. When you are aware of how much fat and calories are in some of your favourite foods, that might just be enough it to make you look for a healthier alternative! You don’t always need to reach for the fruit bowl for a healthy snack, look around there’s some great healthy options these days.
- We all have off days, don’t beat yourself up over it! Its ok to indulge once in a while, as long you dont find yourself induging too often.
