<p>When switching from a diet containing lots of processed foods, to a more healthy eating program, dieters find that they can eat more yet consume fewer calories &#8212; and they <strong><a title="Weight Loss - free membership..." href="http://suegotslim.com/friends/" target="_self">lose weight</a>.</strong></p>
<p>Because natural fruits, vegetables and whole grains are high in complex carbohydrates and fibre, they are absorbed slowly and satisfy our feelings of hunger, hence we snack less in between meals.</p>
<p>Conversely heavily processed foods, are not only low in nutritional value, and they don&#8217;t make us feel satisfied, so we tend to eat more of them, thus we pile on the weight. They tend to be made from refined ingredients that are so tasteless they require large amounts of salt, sugar, fat, to make them taste better.</p>
<p>Perhaps the cardinal nutritional sin is turning away from foods in their natural state and replacing them them with processed foods that have been modified to last longer, be easier to manufacture and cook.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve read my <a title="Weight Loss Manuscript - The Secret Of Slim" href="http://suegotslim.com/friends/" target="_self"><strong>weight loss</strong></a> manuscript &#8211; The Secret Of Slim, you&#8217;d be aware of what is considered a good diet for weight loss and which food stuffs to avoid.</p>
<p>Heavily processed foods are extremely less nutritious and contain much of what is unhealthy for our bodies, including sodium (salt), preservatives, sugars, saturated fats and dangerous trans fats. Because of their lack of nutritional content and lack of fibre, plus all their additives, heavily processed foods can be very unhealthy for us and help us gain weight.</p>
<p>In order to <strong>lose weight</strong>, eat healthy, natural foods with a high ratio of nutrients to calories and you will not only <strong>lose weight</strong> &#8211; you will not go hungry either. You will be healthier, too. And don&#8217;t forget:</p>
<p>Natural foods are nutritious and contain much of what is good for us, including vitamins and minerals, fibre, and cancer-fighting antioxidants.  They reduce our risk of heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. Because of their nutrient and fibre content, natural foods also help keep us <strong><a title="Lose Weight now with The Secret Of Slim..." href="http://suegotslim.com/friends/" target="_self">slim</a></strong>.</p>

<p>Here&#8217;s a quirky reason why&#8230;</p>
<p>The longer it takes you to actually eat your food, the less food you will need to eat to feel satisfied.  It takes your body approx. 20 minutes to send signals from your stomach to your brain about how full it&#8217;s getting&#8230;</p>
<p>There are some great techniques that can get you out of the bad habit of eating too fast and consequently not realising you are eating too much.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve already joined my <a title="Join my free weight loss members area..." href="http://suegotslim.com/friends/" target="_self">free members</a> weight loss area and got your hands on my manuscript <strong>&#8216;The Secret Of Slim&#8217;</strong> you&#8217;ll have already started to harness your own biological urges to help combat this problem&#8230;</p>
<p>Try chewing your food a little while longer before you swallow it, as this will help with the digestion of the food and that extra few moments it takes you to chew will also help you to feel more satisfied without having to have such a large amount.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t load up your fork or spoon with more food until you have swallowed the food that is already in your mouth. One simple way of doing this is to actually put down your fork until you are ready to pick up the next piece of food on your plate. This will help break the habit of over eating from eating too fast.</p>
<p>You will probably notice that once you start eating a little slower you will actually get to enjoy the food your&#8217;e eating a lot more! You&#8217; ll have more time to savor the texture and the tastes in the food.</p>
<p>It takes a little while after eating food for your body to register the fact that it has had enough and many people overeat when they eat too fast simply because they believe they are still hungry.</p>
<p>You should <strong>never eat until you are full</strong>; rather eat until you feel comfortable that you have had enough. Your body will tell you when it&#8217;s had enough nourishment&#8230; Start to listen to your body!</p>

However, if you are trying to <strong>lose weight</strong> and slim down, it is important to note that a gram of fat contains more than double as many calories as a gram of protein or carbohydrate. And (the biggy), <strong>dietary fat</strong> is more easily stored as body fat than protein or carbohydrate.</p>
<p>Dairy products, especially cheese stand out as among the most fat-laden, with a huge amount  of calories coming from fat! But as important as it is to plumb for the healthiest foods, it is also extremely important to consider how they are prepared.</p>
<p>Deep-fried foods, contain a mega amounts of <strong>fat</strong>. While chicken and fish are usually leaner than red meats like beef or pork, they will contain more fat when they are deep fried.</p>
<p>Oh, and watch the salad dressings, mayonnaise,  and other condiments that are high in fat content. They will greatly increase your calorie count and can will counter-act the more healthy aspects of your meal. Replace mayonnaise-based condiments with fat-free alternatives like fat-free yogurt, mustard, ketchup and barbecue sauce.</p>
<p>Research has shown that people living in countries that eat mostly low fat, plant-based diets like the Mediterranean countries  have lower rates of obesity, heart problems, cancer and many other ailments. But when these people are introduced to the fat-laden Western diets like that of the UK or US &#8212; either because it is brought into their country or because they move to a country influenced by it &#8212; their rates of dietary based diseases increases.</p>
<p>But hey, don&#8217;t try to eliminate fat altogether, some fats are essential like dietary fat which is necessary to maintain a healthy, strong  body. It&#8217;s a vital building-block for building body tissue and cells, and it aids in the absorption of some vitamins and other minerals.  Lots of folk  eat too much of the nasty bad fats, but eat not enough of the good fats&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Types of Fat</strong></p>
<p>A high-fat diet is almost certain to increase the risk of heart disease and possibly some forms of cancer. However, a low-fat diet could be just as damaging if it contained the wrong kind of fats. So let&#8217;s take a look at the common fats:</p>
<p><strong>Saturated Fats:</strong> In saturated fats, the carbon atoms contain all the hydrogen atoms they can hold, thus the term <strong>saturated</strong>. Saturated fats are mainly look solid at room temperatures.</p>
<p>Saturated fats are found mostly in animal products like full fat milk, dairy butters, cheese, lard and the fat found on meats. In the plant world, saturated fats are found in tropical oils such as coconut oil and palm oil.</p>
<p>Saturated fats play the single greatest role in raising blood cholesterol and putting us at greater risk for heart disease.</p>

<p>There&#8217;s no doubt about the fact that the body changes as we age and fat is stored in places that we didn&#8217;t have to worry about when we were younger.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s no secret that the metabolism slows and the digestive system doesn&#8217;t work as well as it once did when we were younger.</p>
<p>Hormonal changes in the body especially in women can also affect the shape that you are in but there is one thing that always remains the same at all ages &#8211; If you eat too much food and drink too much alcohol you will gain weight and your <strong>weight loss</strong> regime suffers.</p>
<p>If you have already read my report <a title="The Secret Of Slim, weight loss and age..." href="http://thesecretofslim.com/secret/" target="_self">The Secret Of Slim</a> you will know that this does not always have to be the case.</p>
<p>Many people use their age as an excuse for being over weight but this is not acceptable. Consider how many elderly people there are who are still slim, fit and healthy and you will see that age is not an excuse.</p>
<p>Lifestyles create the body we have to live with and the effects of poor lifestyle choices are multiplied as we age because the abuse that we have been giving our body through poor food choices throughout our life accumulates with fat and other health related problems due to poor nutrition.</p>
<p>You can and should expect to keep your fat percentage at an optimum level throughout your life. The health benefits from doing so will pay dividends with a better quality of life and reduced dependence on medication and other health related expenditure as you age.</p>
<p>At any stage in your life, no matter how old you are you can benefit from improved nutrition and exercise which will result in better <strong>weight loss</strong> management.</p>
<p>Anything that will reduce the excess levels in your body fat will assist in helping you to live longer and to enjoy that time more.</p>
<p>Starting on an exercise program and taking care to improve your nutrition is the best way to turn back the body clock and it is never too late to start winding back the years. Obviously the sooner you start the better but starting is the essential ingredient that you need right now.</p>

Nearly everyone of us go through it at some point in our lives.</p>
<p>But, with a myriad of different diets, pills, potions,  advice and crack pot ideas, how do you go about finding the correct system to allow you to <strong>lose weight</strong> without going cuckoo?</p>
<p>Here are the top 10 tips that have worked for me when trying to <strong>lose weight</strong>:</p>
<ol>
<li>Decide on how much weight you would like to lose. Take a look in the mirror and decide what kind of shape are you in now and how you want to end up looking like? Analyse your current eating habits, and write them down. Once you have an idea where you are starting from, you will get a better idea of what you need to do to <strong>lose weigh</strong><strong>t</strong>. If you dont exercise at all, start off gentle, maybe a brisk walk around the park. We don&#8217;t want to over do it at first.</li>
<li>You need to crawl before you walk&#8230; Take it slow. Start out by making small changes to your daily routine. Instead of full fat milk, skimmed milk or soy milk,  whole wheat bread, veggie burgers, a different healther cereal &#8211; like All Bran, a new kind of exotic fruit that you&#8217;ve never heard of before. When you begin to eat and treat your body better, you will be more inclined to make other more drastic changes.</li>
<li>Hydration! Water is crucial to our body. It helps flush your system of toxins and helps make you feel full. Drink a glass of water <strong>before</strong> a meal to help suppress your appetite. If &#8220;plain&#8221; water is too boring for you, try putting some lemon slices or other fruit into it to spice it up a little. Stay clear of fizzy sodas!!!</li>
<li>Keep a check on those calories&#8230; But don&#8217;t be obsessive, a rough guide will do.  When you are aware of how much fat and calories are in some of your favourite foods, that might just be enough it to make you look for a healthier alternative! You don&#8217;t always need to reach for the fruit bowl for a healthy snack, look around there&#8217;s some great healthy options these days.</li>
<li>We all have off days, don&#8217;t beat yourself up over it! Its ok to indulge once in a while, as long you dont find yourself induging too often.</li>

<p>There are many weird<strong> weight loss programs</strong> constantly getting promoted with huge advertising campaigns and it seems that not a week goes by when somebody hasn&#8217;t released the latest and greatest <strong>weight loss program</strong> onto the internet marketing place.</p>
<p>However, the vast majority of these <strong>weight loss program</strong>s don&#8217;t work for most people because they are simply too hard to maintain or maybe they are detrimental to your overall health.  If you&#8217;ve already reviewed by report <a title="The Secret Of Slim, the right weight loss program" href="http://www.suegotslim.com/secret/" target="_self">The Secret Of Slim</a>, I&#8217;m sure you know what I mean and should by now know how to spot a dud!</p>

<p>You have to want to <strong>lose weight</strong> in the first place (I told you it would seem obvious!!).</p>
<p>OK, what this really means is, you have to put in the commitment and really, desire the results that <strong>fast weight loss</strong> will bring you. Commitment is the key&#8230; You have to want to make change.</p>
<p>This will almost certainly mean learning new eating and lifestyle habits not just while you are on your diet, but permanent change, for life! The one thing you don&#8217;t want happen is to <strong>lose weight</strong>, and for it to come back again with a vengeance!</p>
<p>If you have read my report &#8211; <a title="The Secret Of Slim, Fast weight loss, hoe to" href="http://www.suegotslim.com/secret/" target="_self">The Secret Of Slim</a> you will already know how easy it is to stop the weight from returning with the simple steps I out lined for you. But for those yet to read my report, let&#8217;s briefly cover some of the points here:</p>
<ul>
<li>Find effective ways of boosting your metabolism. Start drinking more water than you are. Drink a glass of water before and after a meal. It sounds a bit crazy, but drinking water will prevent your body from storing fluid because you&#8217;ve not been hydrating properly.</li>
<li>If you want a healthy life and to <strong>fast weight loss</strong>, exercise is vital. It doesn&#8217;t need to be a hard slog&#8230; Just taking the dog for a walk or walking to the store counts!</li>
<li>Get plenty of sleep. I recommend at least 8 hours per night and please have your last meal 3 hours before you go to bed! If you don&#8217;t get enough sleep your body assumes this to being at energy deficit and makes you hungry when you wake up. This is why sleep is a vital component for <strong>fast weight loss</strong>.</li>
</ul>
<p>Follow these simple rules and you&#8217;ll start to burn calories, which is exactly what you want!</p>

<p>Many diets you may look at will fail because they only offer a short-term <strong>weight</strong> <strong>loss</strong> program and usually place limits on your eating habits that it can&#8217;t be successfully be maintained over a sustained period.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve read my report <a title="The Secret Of slim, effective weight loss diet" href="http://www.suegotslim.com/secret/" target="_self">The Secret Of Slim</a>, you will already know how we can get around this problem by harnessing our body&#8217;s own biological urges, but let&#8217;s continue&#8230;</p>
<p>On finally discovering a healthy way to eat for life (not just for <strong>weight loss</strong>), you will feel <em><strong>so</strong></em> good and <em><strong>so</strong></em> invigorated that you won&#8217;t be tempted to return to old habits. With the right <strong>weight </strong><strong>loss</strong> system in place you won&#8217;t even notice any hunger pangs.</p>
